5th Pillar of Baptiste Yoga
Vinyasa
In the simplest of terms, vinyasa means to flow. To be in the flow is to be out of your head and into the physicalness of your body. The Baptiste Yoga sequence called Journey Into Power is designed to focus your sights on what you are up to on your mat and in your life, get you moving, create heat, cultivate mindful breath and intentional movement and this total expression of action can be called vinyasa.
Being in your flow is living in alignment with your higher vision, being fully present and in your power. It’s not something you do once. A moment-to-moment practice creates a powerful way of living. Embodying the water quality empowers you to be more available to be in dance of life
Leah Cullis
Flow has a water like quality to the experience. There is a softness in the joints of your body, a softening of your resistance or your attachment to a given outcome or how you think things should be. By giving up your fixed perceptions and rigid positions - your knowing - you are free to notice, without judgement, what might actually be possible in the moment.
