Drishti
Where you rest your gaze shifts your balance. A scientific research studies has shown that suppressing eye movements improves balance[1]. When your eyes are steady and your gaze is non-moving, distractions around you drop away and you become unmessable with. Set your sight on what you want to have happen and be for it. Seeing your future with your mind’s eye is key to bringing that future into reality. The first step is to notice where you are looking when you are on your mat and in your life.
Drishti is Sanskrit for focused gaze.
Focusing your drishti and bringing mindfulness to your gaze gives you access to equanimity (balance), clarity of mind and calmness of being.
